Calming products are always welcome in our routine. Our skin can be unpredictable and act up at any moment with the hot and humid weather in the Philippines. When our skin becomes red and irritated, we always reach for calming and hydrating products to soothe red spots and keep our skin from being parched.
We received a few products from Stylekorean and Mediheal to incorporate in our daily routine.
The Mediheal Tea Tree Biome Blemish Cica Gel Cleanser and Toner both contains tea tree, an ingredient known for its calming and soothing properties. This is actually one of the ingredients we look for when looking for anti-inflammatory skincare products. We noticed that our skin reacts well to this ingredient and it helps prevent our pimples from forming.
The cleanser has a light gel consistency that foams up with water. It has no fragrance so those who don’t like scented skincare would enjoy this one. It does not strip off our skin and leaves our skin feeling clean and hydrated. Of course, it does not remove waterproof makeup but that’s the purpose of oil based cleansers.
The toner has very watery consistency so we make sure our hands are cupped when we dispense the product – it drips off easily. It gets absorbed by the skin easily and leaves our skin feeling fresh. In terms of calming power, this toner does its job and soothes red spots.
The Mediheal Baobab Soothing Moisture Serum and Cream contains baobab, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid that quenches thirsty skin.
The serum has a milky texture which elegantly glides on the skin and is absorbed well. We love how this makes our skin feel so soft and hydrated. It’s just what we need when our skin is feeling super dry. It deeply hydrates our skin and leaves it feeling smooth and plump.
The cream is our favorite in this set. It is a light cream that contains soft ceramide capsules. We’ve always enjoyed creams that have microcapsules because it gives a whole other experience when applying skincare. It is light and does not feel heavy on the skin yet it leaves our skin feeling moisturized throughout the day. It’s a great cream to use during summer.
