The Celimax Dual Barrier series is recommended for those with dry and sensitive skin. It has 5 kinds of naturally-dervied ceramide, aquatide, and other hydrating ingredients to help support the skin barrier. We were sent the Dual Barrier Mild Gel Cleanser, Dual Barrier Creamy Toner, Dual Barrier Boosting Serum, and Dual Barrier Skin Wearable Cream. All four products are vegan.
The Celimax Dual Barrier Mild Gel Cleanser is a light gel-type cleanser the removes dirt without stripping the skin. It is formulated with 5 types of ceramide (prevents moisture loss and protects skin from irritants), vitamin C, and selaginella lepiodophylla extract (moisturizes the skin and supports skin barrier). It is packaged in a 200ml bottle with a pump. Since it comes with a pump, it’s very easy to dispense the product. This cleanser is used at the first step of the skincare routine. To use, massage an appropriate amount onto damp skin and rinse.
This cleanser has a clear, gel consistency. It has no scent and foams well when water is added. We like how this easily removes dirt and makeup residue while moisturizing our skin. It has no artificial fragrance too. We like how soft and clean our face feels after washing.
The Celimax Dual Barrier Creamy Toner is a milky toner that moisturizes and hydrates the skin. Besides ceramides and aquatides, it also contains allantoin (soothes skin) and hyaluronic acid (hydrates skin and reduces appearance of fine lines). It is packaged in a 150ml bottle. This toner is used to prepare the skin for the next steps of the skincare routine. To use, you can put this toner on a cotton pad or on your palm and swipe or pat on the skin.
It is a milky, creamy toner that extremely moisturizes the skin. It has a rich yet light texture that glides onto the skin effortlessly. It does not feel sticky or heavy and is perfect for layering. One layer is enough to instantly hydrate the skin and our skin feels smooth and hydrated and looks glowy after each use.
The Celimax Dual Barrier Boosting Serum is a silky concentrated serum that hydrates and nourishes the skin. It contains the key ingredients of the Dual Barrier line, ceramides and aquatides to strengthen and protect the skin barrier. It also contains panthenol which soothes and hydrates the skin. It is packaged in a 30ml bottle that has a pump. This serum is recommended to be used after the toner step.
This is a slightly dense yet lightweight serum that feels smooth and silky to the touch. We love how easily this glides onto our skin. This serum gives our skin a burst of hydration. Our skin feels so soft, smooth, and nourished. This is our favorite among all four products we have tried.
The Dual Barrier Skin Wearable Cream is a moisturizer that replenishes the skin barrier. Like the toner, this cream also contains ceramides and aquatides, allantoin (soothes skin), and hyaluronic acid (hydrates skin and reduces appearance of fine lines). It is packaged in a 50ml tube with a thin plastic tip. To use, apply an appropriate amount of cream on your face and pat until it gets fully absorbed.
It has a thick, almost balm-like texture and has no scent. It takes some effort to squeeze the product out because of the texture of the cream and the thin plastic tip. This cream is easily absorbed and does not leave a sticky or tacky finish. We like how this locks in moisture and how it makes our skin look healthy and dewy.
Overall, we really enjoyed this set! It would be great for those who have sensitive skin because of over-exfoliation or from using too much actives, for those with very dry skin, or even for those looking for something hydrating and moisturizing!
