Rovectin is a Korean skincare brand that is focused on providing high quality products that restore skin qualities. Rovectin comes from the Latin word reverti, which means “to go back to where it was”.
We received four products from the Rovectin Clean line – (1) Lotus Water Calming Toner, (2) LHA Blemish Ampoule, (3) Forever Young Biome Ampoule, and (4) Lotus Water Cream. The products in the Rovectin Clean line are 100% vegan and are suitable for almost all skin types.
We also received a sample of the Conditioning Cleanser from the Rovectin Aqua Enriched line.
The Rovectin Skin Essentials Conditioning Cleanser is a gentle, low pH cleanser that cleanses and hydrates the skin. It contains an 8-layer hyaluronic acid that moisturizes the skin and leaves it feeling soft and hydrated, glycerin which helps keep skin toned and hydrated, and coconut oil derivative (disodium cocoamphoacetate) which maintains pH levels. We received a mini version of the cleanser which came in a 20ml tube-type cosmetic squeeze bottle.
It has a clear, gel-like consistency that lathers into thin foam when water is added. It has no artificial fragrance and no noticable scent too. We like how this removes dirt without the squeaky clean, drying feeling. Like any other cleanser, we lather this up on our hands before gently massaging it to our face in circular motion. It’s easy to wash off and does not leave any residue. A gentle and effective cleanser for daily use!
The Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Calming Toner is a soothing and hydrating toner. It is suitable for all skin types and is recommended for those who are looking for a hydrating yet light toner. It is formulated with lotus flower water which purifies and revitalizes the skin, 7-layer hyaluronic acid which keeps skin hydrated, and aquaxyl which prevents moisture loss. It is packaged in a 200ml clear bottle with a cap.
It has a light, watery texture and has no scent. We like how it doesn’t leave a sticky or tacky residue when applied to the skin. Because of this, the toner is ideal for layering and doing the 7 skin method. We prefer applying 2-3 layers of this toner after cleansing. Each layer is deeply hydrating and moisturizing. It is absorbed by the skin quickly and prepares our skin for the next step of our skincare routine. This product also helped calm red patches on our skin. <3
The Rovectin Clean LHA Blemish Ampoule is an exfoliating serum that helps calm irritated skin and brighten dark spots. It contains LHA ingredients which gently exfoliates the skin and help unclog pores and remove dead skin cells, neroli flower water which has anti-inflammatory effects to calm sensitive skin, and niacinamide which helps lighten dark spots. We received a mini version of the ampoule which is packaged in a small (15ml) bottle with a dropper. This product also came with stickers that can be used to decorate the bottle. We chose to save the stickers and use them for something else.
It has a viscous, almost gel-like texture that has no scent. We’ve tried using it both as an ampoule for the whole face and as a spot treatment, applying it to areas where there is redness and irritation and where a zit is forming. We did not experience any irritations or purging when we used this all over our face, in fact, this ampoule helped calm and soothe our skin, together with the toner and the cream from the set. This is also marketed as a blemish eraser by some companies and we totally agree! This helped lighten our acne spots in just a week! (YMMV) We like how it glides onto the skin effortlessly and how it sinks into the skin, leaving a slight cooling and refreshing feeling.
The Rovectin Clean Forever Young Biome Ampoule is an anti-aging serum that aims to protect the skin barrier and reduce the appearance of fine lines. It is formulated with dual-biotic complex, which is a coconut sugar-derived ingredient that protects and repairs the skin barrier, keeping it firm and healthy. It also contains rose of jericho extract, known for providing moisture to the skin, and eggplant fruit extract which calms irritated skin and improves uneven skin tone. This serum is packaged in a blue 30ml bottle with a dropper. This also came with stickers slightly different from the LHA Blemish ampoule.
The texture of this ampoule is similar to the LHA Blemish ampoule – light yet viscous. It provides a slight cooling sensation and glides onto the skin well. It doesn’t feel heavy, sticky, or tacky and gets absorbed quickly. We use this ampoule in our night routine after toning. Since this serum spreads well, only a small amount of product is needed with each use. This immediately makes our face look dewy and healthy and we wake up with plump and glowing skin whenever we use this. <3
The Rovectin Clean Lotus Water Cream is a light and gentle moisturizer that hydrates the skin. It contains lotus water extract which purifies the skin, and kaempferol which has anti-aging properties. We’ve seen loads of good reviews about this cream and have been planning to get next summer. We’re so glad that this came in the set and we’ve had the chance to try it sooner. This cream also came in a box with stickers that can be used for the skincare tube or for any other purposes. The product is housed in a 60ml tube-type cosmetic squeeze bottle.
It has a lightweight texture and has no noticeable scent. The texture is perfect for those living in countries with humid climates. This cream is not heavy yet it provides ample hydration and moisturization. It doesn’t make our feel skin oily and does not make us look greasy too. We love using this in our morning routine, now that the weather is much colder. It is good to wear under makeup too because the cream is very light. We think this would be an ideal daily, AM/PM moisturizer when summer comes again.
