We’re back with another review of Vegreen products!
In case you’ve missed our previous blog, Vegreen is a Korean skincare brand that offers vegan, cruelty-free, and clean products. All their products are free of alcohol, silicon, paraben, fragrance, oil, gluten, and sulfate.
At present, they have four products available – the Fragrance-Free Nature Mucin Serum, 730 Daily Moisture Cream (read our introduction to the brand and review of these products here), Alcohol-Free Nature Mucin Toner, and Fragrance-Free Cica Serum. We’re happy to share that the brand sent us the rest of their products that we have yet to try so we can test them out and share our thoughts with you, our readers.
Vegreen Alcohol-Free Nature Mucin Toner

The star ingredient of Vegreen Alcohol-Free Nature Mucin Toner is the nature mucin extracted from wild yam. The nature mucin is a vegan alternative for snail mucin. It has the same moisturizing and revitalizing effects.
This toner has a high concentration of wild yam extract (68%) which has antimicrobial, antibacterial, and antioxidant properties that keep the skin moisturized and looking healthy and radiant. It also contains hyaluronic acid that hydrates the skin and centella asiatica leaf water that soothes and helps heal the skin.
Full ingredient list (from Vegreen website): Dioscorea Villosa (Wild Yam) Root Extract (68%), Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Panthenol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Carbomer, Arginine, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronat, Centella Asiatica Leaf Water, Ethylhexylglycerin

It is packaged in a 250ml plastic bottle with a cap. It also has a plastic stopper that prevents the product from leaking in transit. The label on the bottle is easy to remove and does not leave a sticky residue which makes it easier to segregate and recycle the packaging. The box is made of sugarcane by-product and eco-friendly ink from soybean oil.

The texture of this toner is very intriguing! It has a slightly viscous texture that is light yet has some body to it. To use, apply an appropriate amount on your palm or on a cotton pad and apply on the face. Personally, we don’t like using cotton pads when using this and prefer to pour the product into our palm.
We realized how unique the texture was when we first used this. When we applied it on our skin, the liquid stuck to our face like there was a thin protective layer. Most lightweight toners we’ve previously tried are a bit drippy that when we apply the toner on our face, the toner drips down (gravity! lol). Not this one though! We love how the toner sort of sticks on our face but does not feel heavy, sticky, or tacky. We pat the product onto our face so our skin can absorb the product to the last drop!

This toner is fragrance-free like the rest of the Vegreen products but we do detect some sort of light sweet scent, which reminds of almond jelly – most likely the faint smell we detected is from the mix of natural ingredients. We love the texture of this toner and how it lightly clings to our face when we apply it. It never feels sticky even if we layer this toner. It makes our skin feel moisturized, hydrated, and plump. We love using this in our morning and evening skincare routine and use 2-3 layers for extra moisture and hydration.
Vegreen Fragrance-Free Cica Serum

If you’re into skincare, you’d see lots of products that is formulated with centella asiatica, and of course, Vegreen has their own product that highlights this community favorite ingredient! Centella asiatica is know for its calming and soothing properties that is best for those with sensitive and acne-prone skin.
The Vegreen Fragrance-Free Cica Serum claims to soothe the skin and improve skin condition (acne, skin elasticity, skin regeneration, and aging). It is formulated with centella asiatica leaf water and extract, allantoin, panthenol, and malachite extract which soothe, moisturize, calm, and help detoxify the skin.
Full ingredient list (from Vegreen website): Centella Asiatica Leaf Water(70.7%), Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Pentylene glycol, Water, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Disodium EDTA, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Allantoin, Panthenol, Xanthan gum, Malachite extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, Asiatic Acid

It is packaged in a 50ml plastic pump packaging. Like how the rest of Vegreen’s products are packaged, this serum has a label that is easy to remove, does not leave a sticky reside (for recycling purposes), and is housed in an eco-friendly box.

This serum has a light watery texture and has no scent. Comparing it to the Vegreen Fragrance-Free Nature Mucin Serum, this cica serum has a lighter texture. To use, put 1-2 pumps on the palm and apply onto the skin after cleansing and toning. The beautiful light blue color of the serum is from the natural color of one ingredient, specifically the malachite extract.

We’ve tried a number of products with centella asiatica extract and this serum did not disappoint! This calmed and soothed as expected but what we love about this serum is that it calms our skin so quickly. When our skin got irritated on some nights, we apply the serum on the affected area and our skin looks better, without any redness the day after. We also like using this serum when we have emerging pimples. This serum helped calm our face and look and feel healthier.
Now that we’ve tried all the products offered by Vegreen, we can confidently say that all their products are of great quality. The formulation of their products is simple and no-fuss yet it packs a punch! They’re very effective in soothing, moisturizing, and hydrating. Since we try out a lot of products, we find ourselves reaching for Vegreen products whenever we want to strip down our routine to something simple to give our skin some time to recover.
Thank you to Sunny from Vegreen and Team Vegreen for sending us these products! <3
