Vegreen is a clean Korean skincare brand that does not test on animals and does not use animal ingredients (vegan!). Their name is a combination of two words, “vegetable” and “green”, which sums up the brand’s values.
Vegreen formulates their products with ingredients from nature that are safe and naturally absorbed from by the skin. They also package their products in an eco-friendly manner by (1) using easy to remove labels on products that are not sticky, making it easier to remove and recycle, (2) using boxes made from sugarcane by-product, (3) printing using eco-friendly ink from soybean oil, and (4) using paper buffer instead of plastics, bubble wraps, or styrofoams.
We appreciate how in touch Vegreen is with their customers and consumers. They are active on Instagram and are very responsive to the comments there. They also respond quickly to queries and inquiries through Instagram. We stan a brand that listens and responds to their customers. 𧑠We also love how they encourage their followers to do their part for the environment by creating campaigns, promotions, and giveaways that involve doing concrete actions to help the environment (just like their recent Any Eco Challenge on Instagram).
Vegreen kindly sent us two of their products for us to try – the Vegreen Fragrance-Free Nature Mucin Serum and the Vegreen 730 Daily Moisture Cream.
Vegreen Fragrance-Free Nature Mucin Serum

One look at this product and you’ll already have a good idea of what this product is. Let’s look at the product name together. π

Snail mucin has been very popular in the Korean skincare world for its moisturizing and barrier repair functions. However, this ingredient is taken from snails so some people tend to distance themselves from these types of product – especially those people who are looking for vegan skincare products.
Great thing that Vegreen has developed the Vegreen Fragrance-Free Nature Mucin Serum! Have you heard of vegan mucin? It is an ingredient extracted from the roots of wild yam that has the same effects of snail mucin all from natural ingredients.
This serum contains 63% mucin from wild yam extract which moisturizes, strengthens skin barrier, restores tired skin, improves skin vitality, panthenol which deeply moisturizes the skin, and ceramide that help keep the skin firm and moisturized. Seeing all these ingredients, you can already tell that this serum would keep your skin plump, moisturized, and hydrated.

The serum is packaged in the clear 50 ml bottle with a pump. Like mentioned previously, the label of the serum is easy to remove and does not leave a sticky residue, making it easy to recycle. It also came in a box made with sugarcane by-product and with prints that used eco-friendly ink.

It has a slightly viscous, lightweight texture and does not have any scent. We were surprised and happy to find out that this serum was not sticky or tacky at all. Most of the snail mucin products we’ve seen look and feel a bit slimy or sticky because of their viscous texture – but not this one!
To use, dispense 1-2 pumps on your palm and spread evenly onto your skin after cleansing and toning.

We love using this serum! π It has a slightly viscous texture – kind of like gel. It’s easy to spread and is absorbed easily by the skin. We usually only use 2 drops but we’ve tried using more just because we wanted to experiment and it did not feel sticky or tacky. Immediately after application, your skin would feel refreshed and hydrated. It makes our skin look slightly dewy – a finish that we absolutely love! We’ve been using this serum often – especially when our skin feels extra dry. This does the trick and moisturizes our skin well.
Vegreen 730 Daily Moisture Cream

We love how simple and straightforward Vegreen is in naming their products. One look and you’ll know why you would need it! Let’s go through the product name through the picture below.

We are so amazed with how Vegreen named their Vegreen 730 Daily Moisture Cream. We love how they included the number 730 to show us that how often we can use this moisturizer (everyday, two times a day!).
This cream contains only 11 ingredients, one of which is squalane that helps moisturize the skin. It has hydrating and antioxidant properties that improve skin texture and appearance of fine lines.

It is packaged in a 50ml squeeze tube container that makes it very easy to dispense the product. It came in a box made with sugarcane by-product and with prints that used eco-friendly ink.

It has a lightweight, creamy texture and has no scent. Most cream-type moisturizers we’ve tried are a tad too heavy for the hot and humid summer weather but this cream is very comfortable to use and does not feel heavy at all.
To use, apply an appropriate amount to face at the end of your skincare routine. Don’t forget to apply sunscreen after when used in the morning.

Like the serum, this lightweight cream spreads easily and sinks into the skin well. It does not feel greasy and has a dewy finish too. β€οΈ Living in a place where the weather is almost always hot, we often use gel-type creams because we’re looking for something light and refreshing to use during the day (or sometimes even night). We really enjoyed using this cream because it never felt heavy and kept our skin feeling moisturized throughout the day. This is one of the limited number of creams we regularly use during daytime because of its light yet creamy consistency.
Thank you to Vegreen for sending us these products! π₯° We loved using both of these products and we look forward to seeing you develop more vegan, and cruelty-free and clean skincare products. π
